About The Parenthesis Project and the author:
The purpose of this site (or “blog” is you prefer) is pretty simple: to create a source that provides others with music and media that touches truth and runs deep. The content on this site may not interest you at all, but I hope it does. It’s not (always) typical “Christian” media; it’s stuff for Christians and not yet Christians alike. Stuff that helps me connect to God and see Him in everything I do (including music that might not be labeled “Christian”[that means some secular stuff]). Music and depth is what I’m focused on and that doesn’t mean that every band labeled “Christian” is going to get a good review simply because they sing about God. Through analysis of God’s work, I’d like to share the good I’ve held onto. We are called to “Test everything” and “Hold on to the good” (I Thessalonians 5:21) and that’s what I’m trying to do, but this time I want to share it. That’s a view into my this little brain of mine.

About Contributor Jack
As a humble individual, most of my time is spent marveling the accomplishments of others and the impact they have created. Much of my marveling is done in the form of listening to interesting and provoking music, picking up a good book, or just plain thinking. Not everything I read, hear, or see is run of the mill- I like the stuff that has to be digested best of all.
I try to look for a deeper meaning in all that is around me. The only thing I know is that I have this life to lead, as those around me have theirs. To make the slightest impact, to share the good I have found, is the least I can do. All I wish to do through my ramblings is to provide an outlet of information for those silly enough to be interested in what I have to say.

Kevin, I’m liking this. Good call on the wordpress by the way. I’ll add this to my rss feed.
Kev,
It was good to talk to you last night. Thank you so much for the offer, but I feel that I may have resigned myself to forever being a lurker and never a blogger. Case in point: I visited each of your blogroll links (theyre all pretty cool) and left nary a comment. Your site is AMAZING (except that it makes me feel slighty geriatric, since I’ve heard of almost none of these musicians). You are a GREAT writer and you have great insights!!! You should be very proud of this.
Just one thing, couldn’t you possibly at least LIST the top 20 for us and THEN review each one…. I am slightly impatient as you know:)

Cool blog! I like what you’re doing.
I love music, and really like the concept behind your blog. I hope you continue. I noticed a post on the latest Waterdeep CD. Don and Lori and Derek Webb are going to be in concert near my home town in November. I’m looking forward to seeing them.
Hello Out There Brand X,
My name is Dylan Harvey and am representing The One 21, our blog which is bringing the world to Post-Modern Christian Music. Music of all genres, written from a foundation of hope and faith that God uses to touch people’s hearts. Our mission is to guide people to the tunes they enjoy that connects to how they live their faith.
We dig your site and think that we share common beliefs/ goals, thus wanted to inquire about swapping Blog Rolls. The truer our blog roll is to who we are, the more likely our separate clientele could become shared. We believe our cooperation could benefit both of our websites in that patrons would enjoy both views on Christian music and the industry. A partnership would only be beneficial.
Check it out.
